Born of West Indian Heritage, in Kingston, Jamaica, Loleta Riley studied at the College of Arts and Science and Technology in Kingston. After college Loleta started an unfulfilling career in marketing and accounting. After four years of dedicated work the field she decided to start an exercise and health plan for herself.

Loleta has always been an exercise enthusiast.  As a young girl she had a very small physique. Even after having two children, weight gain was still quite difficult to achieve. Since gaining fat was not an option, she focused on building muscle and explored the world of bodybuilding.

Loleta educated herself in the art of weight training and the complexities of nutrition. She also recognized that she had a special gift to identify specific dietary needs for individuals to achieve their goals.

During Loleta’s bodybuilding years in Jamaica, she became a champion competitor and was recruited to join the Jamaican National Bodybuilding Team. She was a winner in her class on several occasions and went on to compete at the Central American Games.

Loleta then opened a Gym in Jamaica and dedicated her life to reforming health and fitness through personalized diet and personal training exercise plans. In 1998 Loleta moved her family to the United States where she managed a gym in Miami, Florida. After only five years she purchased a her own gym.

In 2000 Loleta returned to the competition stage. She won both bodybuilding and figure class, and took the overall trophy at the Southern States Competition. She then competed for her first United States bikini competition and won her first show.

Loleta’s clients shared their own success stories of Loleta's body transformation plan and personal training and her clientele grew. Soon, Loleta began hand-selecting a team of master trainers, along with other medical health care providers and formed TeamLoleta and BodyByLoleta LLC was founded.
